On Thursday, July 11th, Adobe announced that it had beaten its previous quarterly income record by generating $3.13 billion in revenue, or a 14% year-over-year growth.
Here is a more detailed breakdown of the computer software company’s earnings for its second fiscal quarter of 2020:
– GAAP earnings per share: $2.27
– GAAP net income: $1.10 billion
– GAAP operating income: $1.02 billion
– Cash flows from operations: $1.18 billion
– Digital Media segment revenue: $2.23 billion (18% y/y growth)
– Document Cloud segment revenue: $360 million
– Digital experience segment revenue: $826 million (5% y/y growth)
– Digital experience subscription revenue: $707 million (8% y/y growth)
– Repurchased shares: approximately 2.6 million during the quarter
Adobe also shared that, in light of the pandemic, it significantly accelerated its previously mentioned strategy of removing low-margin and transaction-based Advertising Cloud offerings—a decision that is estimated to have impacted the company’s second-quarter revenue by close to $50 million. As for what’s coming next, Adobe expects its third fiscal quarter to bring $3.15 billion in total revenue and close to $1.78 GAAP earnings per share.
